Happy Friday the 13th! (Part 2)

"You have one more chance. Tell us what we need to know, and I might end it quickly," the woman growled.

The man next to her smirked, but showed no other emotion than that.  "Better do as she says, girl," he snickered. I could hear Logan in the next room, trying to get in.

"I've told you everything I know," I said.

"Lies. It's all lies!" the woman shouted.

"No, it's not!" I raised my voice at her.

Before I knew it she had come at me again, leaving my body feeling ablaze. I raised a weak hand to my cheek. I could smell the blood in the room. However this wasn't as normal. This was my blood. I clenched my teeth to keep from attacking her and getting myself in more trouble than I already was. I am an inexperienced vampire, and there are plenty more of them than there are of me.

I sighed. Things might have been better if my father was here-wait. No, I can't call out for him. Not that he gives a sh*t about me anyways. All he wants is revenge, and he's the exact reason I'm in this mess.

I could hear their voices . . but they were fading. I was becoming aware of something else. Something more serious. But what was it?

A few moments later I screamed in pain, and leaned against the brick wall.

"Shut up!" the man screamed, holding his ears. But I couldn't help it. I screamed again. "What the hell?"

I felt a wetness between my legs.

The woman grinned at him. "She's in labor."

I bit on my lip to try and muffle my screams, but it was unbearable.

Somehow Logan was able to barge in, while the man and woman simply pushed passed him and leaving him there. They said nothing as they left. He was able to get into the gate despite his panic and come to rest at my side.

He settled himself awkwardly in front of me. I would have preferred someone else help me deliver the baby, but he was sadly all I had. "Come on, Vic, you can do this."

"Logan, shut...up....," I mumbled through contractions.

"D**nit, Vic. I'm trying to help you here. It's not like I exactly know how to do this," he said.

"Stop shouting at me!" I screamed.

"I'm not!" Tears fell from my eyes. I was much too young for this. Much too weak. I was feeling a little dizzy. "Vic... VIC... Come on. You can do this. Just-just push!" That's all I could do. I took a deep breath and . . .

"My baby girl," Logan mumbled as he stared into the baby's beautiful eyes. "I love you already. I can't wait until your mommy wakes up and sees you." Victoria had fallen unconscious seconds after birth, and hadn't seen her daughter yet.

"What are you doing?" Logan asked as his newborn daughter was taken from his grasp.

"It must be disposed of," the woman said.

"What the hell? That's my daughter! Are you psycho?"

"It must be done. It is the best for all of us. I don't want to take a risk in case it is one of them," she said calmly.

"WAIT!" Logan called as they started to leave.

"What now?" the man asked.

Logan scrambled over to his girlfriend's unconscious body, digging through her pockets. He found a small, coiled object and held it out to them. Then he hunted for the earrings, tossing them.

"What's this?" the man said.

"Victoria's mother's t-things. We were told you would be able to recognize it. That's why we came. We seek shelter from Victoria's mother's murderer," Logan told them.

The woman roughly grabbed the objects, twirling the coiled snake armband every which way to get a good visual at the name inscribed on it. She clenched her jaw. "The vampire's mother is... Alexandra Dragomir?" She looked at the man beside her. "And why should we believe you? How do we know you two didn't simply kill her and steal these from her?"

Logan sighed. "Because I'm human, and I know what her father is capable of. He's a lunatic vampire that has been kidnapping random women, slaughtering them, having his way with them. Alexandra was unfortunately one of his victims. She gave birth to Victoria, and then he killed her. But he is now after Vic because she's different. She doesn't believe the way he does."

The woman smiled. "Sounds like Dragomir blood to me. Alright, boy, here," she motioned for Logan to pick up the baby, "you three have a little meeting with the boss later." She winked and the pair disappeared, leaving Logan, the baby, and an unconscious Victoria.

    1. Ahaha. I'll try. ^-^ It's hard to though because I juggle two other blogs, and now that I'm out of school I'm rarely where I can get to my computer. Tell you what: while I'm here, I'll work on the next chapter. How's that sound? (:
